Welcome to the School Counseling
Vision
The School Counselor will assume shared responsibility as a community for the academic career, and personal/social development of all students. We will provide a safe, non-judgmental place for students to express feelings and provide a Comprehensive School Counseling program that will help develop students’ intrapersonal and interpersonal skills . We will inspire students to develop their individual potential to become lifelong learners and productive citizens in our diverse and changing world.
Mission
The School Counselor will provide a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate counseling program to meet the academic, personal/social, and college/career needs of all students. Counselors are student advocates who support students throughout their school career and help students prepare for their post-secondary plans. Counselors help students maximize their academic achievement while acknowledging every student’s individual and cultural uniqueness. In partnership with other educators, parents/guardians, and the community, counseling professionals strive to ensure that all students develop the skills, knowledge, and understanding necessary to be successful in our changing society.
